Touch a Tractor Day
Keep on Trucking with Touch a Tractor Day!
Join us on Saturday, June 18th from 10am-3pm
Flinchbaugh’s Tractor & Pollinator’s Day is FREE for everyone of all ages. You’ll experience, learn and appreciate the great machinery that works our fields and orchards year after year AND take part in our celebration of hard working pollinators. We hope you can join us!
Why: The Flinchbaugh Family has raised 4 generations of kids on the farm. We recognize the excitement and the interest little ones have when our tractors, trucks and equipment drive through the farm or they see them in the surrounding fields.
We want to share this equipment with you and encourage you to learn and feel apart of the farm atmosphere – experiencing the equipment that helps us grow the foods they eat at the dinner table. In addition, we know there are many “big kids” out there who ponder and ask the question, “what is that thing?” when they too see tractors hard at work in the field.
What to expect:
The farm will have over 30 of its tractors, trucks and implements (of all different colors) on site for the community to touch and experience. Meet the equipment, from antiques to “newbies,” as each piece of machinery will be on display with a describing Name Tag to help attendees learn just what they do!
**Tentative Event: Kid Tractor Pull Contest will be operational for kids to test their strength too! Winners will be awarded in 3 age brackets – 3-5 year, 6-9 year, and 10-15 year. Practice between 10a-11a. Competition at 11a-1p, with fun trials following the competition. (subject to change).
How much does it cost?
Free admission. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy. This is farmer Ritchie, Mike, Andrew, Rick, Eugene, Brad and Adam’s favorite event of the year! They love sharing their equipment.
What should I wear?
Tractor Day is an outdoor event at a working farm, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes, great for climbing!
Will there be food available to purchase?
Yes – will be available for your dining pleasure.
How is Flinchbaugh’s Orchard handling public safety?
While we are not requiring masks, we are asking guests to wear them if they are comfortable doing so. Please manage a 6’ distance from other folks not in your party at all times, including while waiting in line to sit on equipment. In addition, hand washing stations are set up for kids and adults throughout the farm. We will be sanitizing high touch areas – like hand rails, trike handle bars and bathrooms every hour.
