Pie Dough

Recipe type: Pie Dough
- 4 c. flour
- 1 egg- beaten
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- ½ c. water
- 1-1/2 c. lard or buttered Crisco
- Sift together flour, sugar and salt.
- Cut in lard till coarse crumbs.
- Mix egg, vinegar and water.
- Add to flour mixture.
- Mix just till all moist.
- Chill.
- Roll dough.
- Make lattice if desired.
- Makes enough for 4 pies- single crust- 9 inch or 2 with a very thick crust.
